I called OCX anticipating getting fobbed off with regards to the insurance certificate I sought. Nothing could be further from the truth - Stephen immediately understood my request, and located and sent the required document, all while I was on the phone still. I wanted to acknowledge the responsiveness and professionalism of Beau and the Owners Corporation management team regarding a recent insurance concern I have affecting our building.After raising the issue of the very high $500,000 fire excess applicable to the shop leased to the tobacconist—which would be payable by the shop owner in the event of a claim—Beau took the time to speak with me directly. He clearly explained the insurer’s requirements and the rationale behind this arrangement in order to secure building cover while managing premiums.Importantly, he did not dismiss the risk raised and has committed to following up by engaging directly with the shop owner to further address the situation.
